Access to Edinburgh City Suites

Please phone reservations on your arrival to get the access code to the Suite you have booked.

If you arrive earlier than 3pm you can certainly drop your bags and return to check-in at 3pm. Any late arrivals must be arranged directly by phoning the hotel.Early check-ins are possible based on availability and must be arranged in advance, charges apply.

The Edinburgh City Suites reserves the right to request guest ID (passport, driving license) prior to check in and taking payment or upon arrival. Failure to provide this will result in booking cancellation. This is to ensure the safety of all the guests on the premises and any fraudulent activity. A valid payment card (credit or debit) are required to be presented upon arrival and details must be recorded on the check-in form and be appropriately linked to the person who made the booking. Failure to provide either may prevent the property from allowing check-in. We reserve the right to charge your credit/debit card up to £200 for any damage done to your room during your stay or for any items that are missing when you leave. Charges are proportionate to the offense.

Check-out: By 10 am latest. Late check-outs are possible based on availability and must be arranged in advance, charges apply.

Payments

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and cash payments.

We do not accept Amex or Visa Electron

Deposit Policy

For non-refundable bookings, the total booking amount is charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. We strongly advise you to take travel insurance so that you may make a claim should you need to cancel your reservation

Cancellations & Reservations Policy

All bookings are non-refundable.

If booking is cancelled or in case of no-show the total price of the reservation is charged to your card.

From time to time Edinburgh City Suites may need to contact guests prior to their arrival we will not accept responsibility for any issue arising from incorrect contact details being provided by guests.

We strongly advise all guests to provide contact details that they know they will be contactable on specially during the time you will be travelling.

Your credit/debit card will be deducted without permission if there is no show or cancellation of the booking.

For example, if you book a Suite for 7 days and after 3 days you decide to leave for whatever reason, we will charge your card for the full stay. 

Check in time on day of arrival is 3 pm to 11 pm and check out time is 10 am on day of departure. Earlier check in times and later check out times may be available subject to prior request and availability and extra charges are applicable.

Please note that our suites are not intended as a venue for social gatherings, parties or other such events. Edinburgh City Suites will also not accept reservations for hen, stag and any other parties.

Apartment Capacity: Each suite type has a maximum occupancy level, which if exceeded will result in a fine of £250 unless agreed otherwise prior to check in. This may lead to your immediate removal from the premises without further notice and without refund of any accommodation charges. In the event that our duty manager receives complaints regarding noise levels from your suite, you may be requested to leave the building immediately and both your accommodation and / or deposit charges will be forfeit.

 In the event that guests refuse to vacate the suite, having been asked to do so by the duty manager, the police will be asked to attend. In the unlikely circumstance that we find ourselves unable to accommodate your booking, the Edinburgh City Suites reserve the right to out book your reservation to an alternate accommodation provider of similar standard. All reservations are at the discretion of management and Edinburgh City Suites reserves the right to refuse any reservation.

Unable to travel due to ill health: If you’re unable to travel due to ill-health, contact your insurance provider or check your insurance policy thoroughly to see how ill-health could impact. We strongly advise customers to take a travel insurance. Where possible we will assist to amend your booking to a later date, subject to availability.

Child Policy

Edinburgh City Suites welcome families with children.  Parents are, however, advised to supervise them at all times during their stay and to keep noise level to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests.

Smoking Policy

Edinburgh City Suites is a non-smoking establishment as detailed in the Prohibition of Smoking in Certain Premises (Scotland) Regulations 2006. Smoking and vaping or using e-cigarettes alike, are strictly prohibited inside our establishment, be it guest rooms or communal areas. Designated smoking and vaping areas are located outside, where ashtrays are wall mounted for convenience. 

Illegal activities, such as taking prohibited substances or downloading prohibited materials, are not tolerated in any areas of our property.

If you are found to be in breach of this, a £200 fine will be applied and you may be asked to leave the premises and if required, reported to the relevant authorities.

Party, groups, Celebrations

Please be aware that we do not take bookings for any party, celebrations and events to avoid disturbance issues.

 

Breakage/Damage Policy

A damage deposit of GBP 100 is required. The property charges this 14 days before arrival. This will be collected by credit/debit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Any breakages will be deducted from the credit/debit card used at booking including a minimum £50 administration charge to arrange for repairs and replacement.  This may increase depending on the breakage.  An inventory of all fixtures and fittings, equipment and furniture, kitchen appliances, crockery and cutlery, linen and towels are kept in each suite. This will be checked after your departure and any missing item or broken item will be noted and the replacement costs notified to you and charged to your card on the day of your departure.

We do not tolerate any kind of antisocial behaviour towards our team. This includes any threatening or abusive behaviour, or any unwanted comments and/or advances. If our team experiences any sort of behaviour that can be attributed to the above, the offender will be asked to leave the premises and, if required, reported to the relevant authorities.

We ask all our guests to treat the premises and all items within it with respect and to not cause any willful damage to anything. In the event of damages to our property, we reserve the right to charge the card used for reservation to recoup the cost of the damages.

Refusing our staffing team access to the room you are occupying when required is not allowed. Our housekeeping team is required to have access to your room at least once every three days.

Pets are not allowed on our premises, with the exception of service/assistance animals.


In making your on-line/telephone booking you accept that you understand and agree to the full terms and conditions as stated above.
